Our 11 year old son absolutely loved this! This month he made a chicken and chorizo pie, it was simple to make because of the video instructions. Its really made a difference to our son’s confidence and he was smiling all the way through the cooking process. The meal was beautiful which again really boosted his confidence. We have loved Junior Chef. We got grandparents to get this as a gift for birthday and Christmas..it has changed our son’s view of food.. He can be a fussy eater and this has got him trying foods he would’ve never eaten. He loves cooking for us and has learnt so many amazing skills. We love that you can pause it too for a bit and pick it back up again when you are able. So great and highly recommend to anyone with primary age kids.

Delicious meal!My daughter (7) really enjoyed cooking the sausage and mash for the family. (100 out of 10 she said 😂).Top quality ingredients that were well prepared and delivered. Fresh food also with a fair use by date.I rung the company for a small issue with the app which I’m almost certain was my fault and it was sorted within minutes. The app was easy to follow for my child. Broken down well and slow enough to follow. The replay button came in handy as my daughters excitement meant she didn’t listen.We are a family of 6. It went round all of us with ease.Cheaper than a take-away and also skills learnt along the way!Highly recommend!

My family have enjoyed 3 meals (so far) from JnrChef and have been blown away by the taste, quality and variety.The tutorials are very informative and easy to follow with clear visuals.We had some incredble Rib Eye steak in a ginger noodle dish and were blown away by the Mac n Cheese meal, a simple dish but elevated by their great recipe.

Follow along with Chef Pete and his animated friends in our interactive children’s cookery classes which offer a fun and educational cooking experience for children. With a wide range of recipes from cuisines all over the world, your child will learn many key skills in the kitchen as they master each lesson. Each video is broken up into easy to follow chapters so they can take each recipe at their own pace, earning experience points and rewards along the way.

We are Amy and Pete, a couple from Cheshire, UK and the proud founders of JnrChef. Through our passion for teaching children to cook and our desire to get families talking around the dinner table, JnrChef was born.

Recognising the lack of opportunities for children to learn cooking skills due to limited resources in schools, the convenience of fast food and busy family schedules, we knew something had to be done. After a year of development, we launched JnrChef locally in August 2023 and expanded nationally in March 2024.

What box sizes are available?

We currently have two box sizes, 2-3 person which feeds 3 people comfortably or a 4-5 person box which feeds 5 people comfortably.

What age group is JnrChef?

We advise 8+ and dependent on how old your child is would depend on how much supervision is needed.

How often does my box arrive?

With our current membership you will receive one cooking lesson and box of ingredients every 4 weeks.

What does a box contain?

A JnrChef box contains an interactive cooking lesson, full access to our app and all the ingredients needed for your child to cook your chosen recipe.

Can I pause my membership?

Yes! You can pause and resume your subscription anytime

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your membership anytime, you can also pause your membership at anypoint

What if I’m not going to be in?

Don’t worry, we will leave your box in a safe space of your choice and our keep cool packaging will keep all your ingredients cold for 36 hours.
